To Be or Not to Be?

Dreams have always been a part of our life. And they also drive us into more determination even at the steepest road we trek in life. Yet at the end of the day, it constantly goes back to us the answer whether we really want to realise those dreams or just leave them behind as such.

As one anonymous author said, " The tragedy of life is that many people have ambition and so few have ability." Agreeing to what he said, I would say that uniquely, we are gifted with resources such as abilities, talents, skills and others that would become our weapons to make true those dreams.

imagecredit: http://www.splitshire.com/poppies/
Regrettable as it could be, some of us fail to utilise those tools so that we will reach our goal of success. Don't ever focus on those negative points in your life instead give your full attention to what lies ahead and what is present to you. And the most important of all, learn to express gratitude to those gifts you own since through them, you are and will going to achieve those dreams treasured inside of yourself.

Thus, ask constantly oneself, "To be or not to be?" and be ready to embrace the consequence of your choice.

LOve and Fidelity

While listening to the preacher this evening time during our gathering, what struck me most out of his sharing was his mentioning about two qualities that every person must possess so that he will become successful in his relationship with others and these are LOVE and FIDELITY.

These two comprise the whole package in any positive dealing with one's neighbour. While listening to him talking about those two points, as much as I can, I tried to recall back concrete instances of my life to show those two qualities in my life. Looking around, I could also see affirming faces on the preacher's highlights.

imagecredit:  Ed Gregory
Anyway, you and me could identify certain relationships that we have in our lifetime. First and foremost, we have this significant relationship with those persons so dear to us like spouses, siblings, etc. Then next comes our relationship with people outside of our primary space like relatives, friends, co-workers, team members etc. Moreover, we also have this relationship with our environment- all those creatures around us including plants, trees, animals and the like. Finally, we have this grand relationship with someone whom we called our Creator- no matter what name we try to attribute to this one yet He remains the same to you and me- He is the source of everything.

Thus,  how then could you apply or even experience those two qualities in all those relationships? Love then comes in when we prioritise the welfare of those dear people in our life- sacrificing everything even our own satisfaction, desires, needs and wants. However, on this very complicated and modern world we have now, expressing love becomes such a very challenging one for if we are not that keen and careful, the latest  innovations especially on matters like communication will most probably interfere in our interactions with people primary to our care like spouses and children.

imagecredit: Ed Gregory
On the other hand, in order for us to check how loving we are to them and to others, let us confront ourselves with such questions as: Are we ready and willing to be interfered in our other affairs so as to give attention to our spouses and children? Are we willing to offer precious and quality time to them disregarding our other priorities and appointments? Do we go beyond all conditions in our loving of them meaning do we still accept them even if they present their negative qualities to us like failings and weaknesses?

Moreover, fidelity comes in when we concretely manifest loyalty to our pledge to these precious people in our life. That in spite of all our limitations and weaknesses, we are still able to hold on to our promises to them that we constantly regard them everyday and every moment with extra special and remarkable attention as well as care. Such world that we have now could be at times a tricky one engulfed with various stumbling blocks such as temptations and greediness, yet in spite of their presence, we express our fidelity to our partners by overwhelming those stumbling blocks and returning back to our significant others' loving embrace.

Finally, if we then are able to sustain LOVE and FIDELITY in our relationships with others, we allow ourselves to be positive contributors to their  life and growth.

Letting Go and Moving On

Recently, a friend confided with me that her boyfriend dumped her for no reason at all. Such a terrible thing to happened to her, she felt lost and abandoned. As those two years had passed with her boyfriend, she gave him everything so that he will feel happy and contented in their relationship yet a few days back, he decided to end up their relationship.

imagecredit:
Until now, she could hardly bear the pain and the heartaches brought about this shocking episode to her life. Days had passed and she continued crying day in and day out. I hope that she will recover soon this bad chapter of her life journey.

In our life, bad times is a part and parcel of it and no matter who we are at the moment and how we stand in the community, there still are those trying moments in our life. And as each bad day falls on us, all we need to do is let it go and learn how to move on. That's exactly what needs for us to do. However, this is easy to say than done. Definitely true. Seeing other people undergo such stage is easier for us than experiencing the painful moment personally.

There comes in the support coming from our family, friends and other people. Lucky are those who have them in their lives. But the biggest factor would be our own capacity to deal with the pain. As we proceed with our life, we learn to adopt to certain situations and we are able to sustain various defences that allow us to stay strong during difficult times. Let us learn to get up and start all over again every time we fall down. In addition, let us also allow ourselves to become wounded healers for others.

SOme Thoughts to Ponder

Sharing with you today some thoughts to ponder for us as we continue with our various journeys in life. Along with the disparate chapters of our life, we come and encounter different situations and events that some will ask us to arrive at a crossroad then decide what to do next. While these thoughts below may have been carved by distinct individuals yet they all have one thing in common- that is to inspire us all in our daily endeavours.

1. "We rate ability in men by what they finish, not by what they attempt."
Success driven individuals will always aim for the best results in all their endeavours. However at times this will boil down not just by finishing the race but by the quality of the work's outcome. All the successes that we will have in our life will determine how we will manage those life's chapters.

2. " Ability without ambition is like a car without a motor."
Indeed this statement makes much relevance in our life. Hence it is very essential for us to discover our strengths thus when we move on in life,  we have equipped ourselves with the sufficient resources to be successful in life.
imagecredit:

3. " The remarkable thing about most of us is our ability to live beyond our means."
The will to survive- a tool which every one of us must possess so that when we encounter trials and crosses in life, we will also learn how to survive and move on. As they say, life must go on no matter what predicaments lie ahead of us.

4. " Ability is the most important tool in your life."
Learn to discover your various abilities in life and develop your humility also to acknowledge the abilities of others. We are made unique from one another so that we can express our abilities and ask others' abilities also when the situation calls for it.

Spending Precious Time with Your Loved Ones

We all have our considered richness in life- health, family, wealth, achievements etc.. And I do believe that one among the stand out among them is the family. Yes we all value each of our families and in fact, that's the very main reason why majority, if not all of us, are working hard and exerting much of our time for the sake of our families.

imagecredit:

Indeed, we are unaware that at times, we gain strength and importance from all the significant persons inside our families. How about you, do you spend quality time with your family- with all your loved ones? Moreover we can learn bountiful things from our day to day interactions with our loved ones. All those which we have learned from school about love, understanding, openness, welcoming etc, we can concretised them all first and foremost through the members of our families.

How then can we teach LOVE to others if we are not loving all members of our families? How can we speak truthfully about welcoming others when in fact, we disregard one member of our home? To become a worthy example of good deeds to others, we should start first with all the members of our families- spouses and children. And we constantly bear in mind that no amount of material wealth could ever replace the CONCRETE LOVE that we convey to our family members.

Generosity Shared

When disasters strike a place, a community or a nation, I can't help myself but be filled with mixed emotions as I recall how the victims and their families suffer the consequences of such events. I could feel the relief and joy of my heart upon realising how generous hearts extend their resources to those helpless victims.

In such tragedies such as typhoon, storms, fire, bushfire etc, such huge losses to life and properties are ever extended and befall to the victims. Consequently, I could feel the pain, hunger, meaningless, hopelessness in the faces of these people.

imagecredit:
On the other hand, what then becomes consoling is when people of all races, status, denominations and colours join hands together to uplift the plight of the victims. And as the days go by, I am hoping that more people with kind and generous hearts will continue to aid the victims so as to make lighter their plights.

After all, we all know that inside yourself and my heart lies the goodness as well as kindness so that we can always think and bear in mind the future and harmony of these innocent people.

New Year's Surprises: Resolutions....Resolutions....

As we start another year, it is one common practice that we prepare a list of new year's resolutions- list of what we want to achieve in our life during the year. Actually this has been an ongoing practice since the time of the Babylonians and even during the knighthood era of the Medieval times.  At certain junctures, such practice offers a positive output to a person for it becomes a guide for him to perform better during the year and surpass what then was achieved during the previous year.
imagecredit:
We have personally set up our goals for this year. And somehow, this resolution comes out in so many styles and forms like setting a limit to one's exposure to the TV or even in front of one's laptop. Some will aim for a more moderated lifestyle such as avoiding too much alcohol or if one is willing, an alcohol free life during the year. On the other hand, there are those who want to refrain from going out late at nights or others may just want to be a more fulfilled person in relationship, career and others.

However, no matter how colourful, relevant, challenging our resolutions for this year, if we will not act them out and do them then everything becomes nil and unwanted. Nobody else will commit those good resolutions except we in ourselves. Thus, to be more constructive in our life, let us constantly be consistent in doing our plans. Our firmness, flexibility and openness supplemented by our determination will assist us to make true our dreams, goals and resolutions.

What is More Essential to Growing Children?: Modern Technology or Engaging on Outside Games

The fast pace of technology nowadays changes the lifestyle of most youth. They tend to become more dependent on computers and other electronic entertainments. However, others argued that they should also spend more time playing outside sports and games rather than just spending their time on these latest technologies that we have.

The children need to grow in a positive way on their physical, social and other aspects. It is through engaging on physical activities such as playing basketball, football, tennis, and other sports activities that their bodies become more actively working as well as strong, athletic and healthy. FurthermoreI, it will also develop their social relationship towards other youth and eventually is essential as they are interacting with real human beings rather than just with virtual forms of entertainment.

Most common causes of disease for children today is obesity and from the research done by scientists, it was found out that these children are mostly engaged in sedentary lifestyle. They just spend their time playing video and computer games all day long.  Thus becoming active in sports will result them to balance their lifestyle.

Elements of a True Friendship

As I spend this day, Friday, I come to think of the many forms of relationship that I have in my life. Then I realised that I am such a lucky person since all throughout my life, I have established friendships with different kinds of people and lucky enough then to have maintained that friendship with them.

How about you, can you count through your fingers the friends that you have in your life? Can you claim one friendship that would last forever? Basically, every human being is so complex that it goes beyond eternity to fully comprehend one human person. All throughout the years, our personality becomes moulded by various factors such as upbringings, genes, environment, friendships etc.. Yes, it is very true that our friends make so much impact in our life that without our knowledge, our ways of dealing with others have been influenced by them anymore.

How then could we establish a lasting friendship? To answer such question, we could think of numerous factors such as presence, availability, understanding and trust. In fact, there are others that we can think of yet I just would like to focus on these shared items as my most essential ones so as to maintain and sustain a long and lasting friendship.

A short elaboration for them would be as follows:

a. presence- what makes a friendship lasts is when both friends are generous in sharing his presence with the other party. And this is true not just on rainy days but holds true on days with stormy weathers. On the other hand, this never limits as well on a mere physical presence but somehow, the presence here is the quality one meaning it is being physically, mentally, morally, and spiritually present with the other person.
photocredit:

b. availability- similar to presence, availability means that in spite of our day to day obligations, duties, schedules, priorities etc., we should still be able to make ourselves available to our friends. As commonly stated, if we truly value our friendship with others, we should also learn to make ourselves available to cherish the friendship.

c. understanding- in any relationship like friendship, the trait of understanding should be developed, practiced and nurtured. Being able to completely understand the other person is rather a challenging task since we carry along with us our different idiosyncrasies and at times, some of these are challenging for others. However, when we truly consider any friend as a real friend, we subsequently are ready to accept everything on him both his positive and negative characteristics.

d. the last but not the least on my list, the trust element- an important ingredient that goes along with the ones beforehand, trust is considered as very worthwhile since it measured the level of the established friendship. With a true friend, one can be assured that trust is present and that whatever is shared between the two friends are secured and kept hidden just between both parties. The development of trust takes a while thus the moment that it is destroyed, it is burdensome to repair it.

Hence with all these elements, can you consider yourself now as one true friend? Lucky you are if you can and lucky your friends for having you as one true friend.

Resting in God's Peace

As we have just recently celebrated the All Souls Day and offered prayers for the faithful departed, it is but fitting for us  to reflect on the significance of this element of resting in our life. Oftentimes, when death comes to a person, we usually say or write, RIP which means "Resquiescat in Pace" or "Rest In Peace". A little of history about this practice happened in the eight century when it became ubiquitous on the tombs of Christians as well as for the High Church Anglicans and the Roman Catholics in particular." - Source: Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As such, we are therefore constantly reminded that everything on this earth is but temporal and that at a certain point in our life, we will come to terms with our own death. Thus there is that consistent invitation for us all to be always ready when death comes and in some cases, it does in an unexpected manner just like a thief in the night.

When it comes time to die,
be not like those whose hearts are
filled with the fear of death,
so when their time comes
they weep and pray for a little more time
to live their lives
over again in a different way.
Sing your death song,
and die like a hero going home.
- Chief Aupumut, Mohican -

                              Source: http://www.a-good-dying.com/rest-in-peace-quotes.html

From a sharing with my friend Pong, I was fortunate enough to be reminded with the following insights as extended also by their pastor in their congregation. A few of those are the following:

a. The Essence of the Sabbath Day:

It is therefore good to note that the Sabbath Day is basically not just one of those days in our calendar year but somehow, this day is entirely a day that is intended for mankind to offer prayers and good deeds for the Creator. Moreover, as He rested on this day after creating the universe in six days,  He also invites His people to devote a day of rest and prayer. It further denotes our reality as being challenged to establish and sustain a loving relationship with our Creator therefore we also return to Him during our moment of death.

b. Contentment in God:
We oftentimes worry greatly on numerous things like our daily provisions, health, day to day activities, children, studies, etc. that consequently, we time after time neglect our very basic relationship with Him Above. Most of the times, we worry so much on what is temporal and forget what is eternal. At certain events in life, we stress ourselves on what is seemed as unnecessary and just wants in life disregarding on the process the more essential things such as our time with God and times with our other loved ones.

c. Acknowledgement of God Being our Creator:
As human beings, we are created in His own image and likeness therefore initially goodness in our hearts is intrinsically in our nature. However, when we start to use our own free will and intellect, that signals the commence of our commission of things both desirable and not therefore with the undesirable deeds, we are allowing ourselves to become astray from our Creator.
imagecredit:

The moment then that we die, we would never carry along with us any of these temporal and earthly possessions. However the only treasures that we can carry with us when we die are those good deeds that we have implanted in our hearts. We will be judged on heaven by these possessions and never on any earthly richness.  However if we live a life worthy of praise and adorations then we can be rest assured that on our moment of death, our Creator will be waiting to welcome us into His fold.

Hence, let us learn to live life to its fullest as well as live it according to His plan. Though we falter in certain chapters on this journey yet we should also be humble enough to realise our limitations and offer to return back to His fold.

P. s. much gratitude to Pong for the sharing

Alongside Power Comes Great Responsibility

Are you a person whose holding power in your hands?  Are you one of those who administer control over others especially people in your own capacity? What is power then? Too many defintions can correlate with this one yet allow me to just pick up 2 definitions for my input here. These 2 are:

With these two, I would like to relate it with the famous catchphrase from the movie,  Spider-Man that when somebody has power on his hands, there goes alongside of it a great responsibility. At times, the situation becomes difficult, if not complicated, when the person holding the power over others doesn't know how to handle it. What makes the situation worse is when he abuse it thus becoming detrimental to the growth, welfare and dignity of others especially those directly under him.

What should be keep in mind is that power begets respect, honor and dignity. As we grow older, we seem to bit unknown and unfamiliar even to our own negative actuations  but somehow, if we indulge in retrospection, we will feel remorse (if we will also allow ourselves to dwell on it) on how we become so unfair and unjust to others.

imagecredit:http://pixabay.com/en/winter-yellowstone-national-park-200894/
Some years back, I was in charge of the Human Resources of a certain company made up of more or less 200 people. All throughout my service in that position, I religiously told myself never to think that I am superior nor more essential to the Company than them. What I reflected upon as weakness of others in higher positions is their insecurity and hunger for power. Consequently, they tend to use it to control people. Thus, subordinates tend to follow their commands/requests/programs etc. usually not because of respect but out of fear. This results to a very unhealthy workplace environment since workers are not treated fairly and they are hindered to facilitate their creativity and share their talents/resources.

What I usually did with fellow workers in that previous company was to consistently focus on their individual contributions to the total output of the company. And those opportunities that I engaged with them allowed them to just be themselves and be free. Though I was also very cautious that people will not exploit my type of leadership and at the end of the day, I always asked myself, " Did I perform as an effective leader this day? Did I instil positive things on the minds of my companions at work or not? How did I treat my subordinates this day? Did I become an assertive leader but not an abusive one today? etc."

Thus, when we hold a certain amount of "power" in our hands, may it be over subordinates, friends  or children, let us incessantly think of and consider the interest of others more than our own.

The Human Touch In a Relationship

According to an English definition the human touch refers to a friendly and pleasant way of treating other people that makes them feel relaxed. Apart from this, there are other meanings that could be attributed to this but anyhow, the most important thing to retain in mind and heart is its being a primary ingredient in any form of relationship- be it in a form of friendship, marriage, father-son, mother-daughter, etc.

However, taking into consideration the kind of world that we live in nowadays, it is sad to note that many relationships have been wasted  and damaged due to the failure of sustaining the fire burning on it. The world that we live now is so advanced yet its drawback is that oftentimes, the human element of our various relationships is unattended and totally ignored. All these innovations that we enjoy nowadays have great impact to our lives but we also need to discipline ourselves so that our treasured relationships would not be sacrificed.

imagecredit:
Accordingly, learn how to be creative as well as how to stay human in all forms of relationships most especially inside the family. Don't allow any other structures of social activity to get more priority than your interactions with your children or wife/husband. Even in your relationship with your partner, be sure to add flavour to it everyday just like the extension of this human touch. Never presume the basic needs of the children like love, attention, comfort, sympathy, care, etc.  rather see to it that your being able to shower them with material abundance doesn't appear as if you already become an effective dad or mom but rather learn how to mingle with them any moment in a day. Don't make your social commitments and business functions as excuses so as not to render them their basic human needs.

Finally, constantly be mindful of the fact to give your loved ones that sense of importance so that they will feel so special in your eyes.  Hug them when they are down, uplift their spirits when they are discouraged, congratulate them when they earn success, and engage more in activities which will allow you both to realise how precious you are to each other.

Pursuing One's Aspiration

Human as you are, there are various matters that allow you to pursue your aspirations in life. Indeed they are essential in your life for you then could find strength by embracing to this aspiration no matter what your situation will be.

On the other hand, at times you could not avoid but falter in this quest for greatness. "Unwillingness easily finds an excuse"- indeed there are many out there who fail to pursue their dreams since they don't possess such traits as perseverance and determination on pursuing them.

Meanwhile examples of life's aspirations could take in a form of money, love, knowledge, popularity etc. Reaching them varies from one person to the other. One important factor then is to identify and acknowledge whatever aspiration you have in your life.  You should never stop from exerting effort in pursuing your goals in life. Times may change and everyday weather will turn from cold into hot but your eyes should constantly be focused on your dreams.

imagecredit:
Here then are some ways that can help you to attain your aspirations in life.

1. Learn to identify the goal/aspiration/dream that you want to pursue in life;
2. Strive hard to slowly attain this aspiration;
3. While on the process of attainment, learn to stand up every time you fall down;
4. When feeling tired and exhausted, be humble to go back from the very beginning that you  established your dream/aspiration;
5. Appreciate the presence of others in your life, they are present in your life so as to give you support and a shoulder to lean on;
6. Finally, express your gratitude to whoever it is that give you strength to persevere in life in spite of all its odds.

Behold all those who dream dreams, no matter how big or small they are. Success will be yours soon or later.

Life is a Continuing Education

Presently, I am enjoying my four online courses on two different learning institutions. These are Coursera, a US based online institution, while the other one is Open Universities Australia. Networked Life and Cryptography- these two are my ongoing courses on Coursera while Writing for the Web and Online Advertisements are the subjects I presently enrolled in on the Australia Open Universities.

Networked Life is such an interesting topic since it allows us to trace back the relationships that we have on our online activities such as Facebook, Linked and others. One among the interesting topics that could be found on this course is Basics of Game Theory. This topic discusses essential elements such as human behaviours comparing to game remarks. There is also a discussion on matrix on games, payoffs and the like.

On the other hand, the course on Cryptology allows the participants to gain early understanding on the development of ciphering messages and how to protect one's messages especially those sensitive ones to be intercepted by others. Another positive outcome of this course is by allowing the participants to use messages encryption.

imagecredit:
The other two remaining courses are also both stimulating for they both enable the participants to gain further knowledge on how to produce effective and positive outcomes on our daily activities on the web. We all know that nowadays engaging activities online is but a part of our daily life. Now exist so many forms of avenues on which one can communicate online and some of these are laptop, mobile, tablet and the like. However, one also must be very vigilant in using these modern technologies for they also pose threats to human beings if not properly utilised.

Hence, everyday for you and me is a continuing education and may we continue to open our arms to embrace all these learnings and facilitate them for our positive advancement.

My Source of Happiness

What really is happiness? This is a very relative matter in the sense that what could be your source of being happy may not be true for the other person. Somehow it is but essential for us to be aware of those things that can make and give us true meaning of happiness.

To give us further insight on what happiness is, let us share these thoughts:

"Psychologist Martin Seligman asserts that happiness is not solely derived from external, momentary pleasures,[11] and provides the acronym PERMA to summarize Positive Psychology's correlational findings: humans seem happiest when they have
  1. Pleasure (tasty food, warm baths, etc.),
  2. Engagement (or flow, the absorption of an enjoyed yet challenging activity),
  3. Relationships (social ties have turned out to be extremely reliable indicator of happiness),
  4. Meaning (a perceived quest or belonging to something bigger), and
  5. Accomplishments (having realized tangible goals)."- from Wikipedia- the free encyclopedia

From the above thoughts, it is obvious that happiness differs from one stage of being to the other. I know of some people who are happy by just being alone with themselves. They don't want to be interfered in their activities which for them are the ones that give them source of meaning in life.

imagecredit: http://www.toasto.com/free-photos/nature-and-scenic/sky-and-clouds/approaching-storm-clouds/

There are also people who are happy with their titles like being managers, CEOs, COO, and the like. That when others devoid  them of any recognition and admiration of these titles, it seems their days are incomplete and they feel that they are not worthy. In some cases, what is worst is when they tend to vent their ire on others as if they already lose their sense of being human persons merely due to subordinates not addressing them with their titles. Sometimes, the real cause of this feeling of being unhappy is the sense of insecurity of oneself.

On the other hand, others are made happy by their achievements and the accolades that go with them. Moreover there are those who find happiness by being with their loved ones and no matter what their state of life is, they are still happy being with their significant others.

Hence, in the midst of these various realities, it is important for us to recognize what are those things that make us real happy and how could we also radiate the same happiness to others. No matter what adversities we have in life, there would always be reasons for us to stay happy and be optimistic.

How To Grow One's Business?

In any business setting, at the end of the day, what is accorded with foremost priority is the benefits gained out of it. Somehow the question at the closing of each day is that "does the organisation gain or loss this day?". In the middle of the challenging nature of every business entity today, being streamlined with the latest trends on the Human Resource management (HRM) plays a very important role.

Having performed such role for years before (Human Resource manager), I know beforehand how critical the role of HRM in managing the affairs of the organisation. Every organisation is made of of entities most importantly of people who carry along with them unique qualities which should consistently be reckoned with.

At times, the thrust of the organisation is unsure between people and profits. However when things become complicated like having people who been working with the organisation for such a long time over the emphasis of the organisation to grow thus it might think of ways and means to reduce costs including removing old termed people.

Which is now more prioritise in terms of resource? Is it people over profit or the other way around? The answer may not be the same with different people and various approaches. However what could have been ideal is gaining positive outcome both for the organisation as well as for people. How then would you want to grow your business? Is it by reducing costs through removing old employees and hiring new ones (equals savings for the organisation) or by keeping them then resort to some other solutions like making savings from operational costs?

Life is Such a Great Gift

It's Sunday and another week will soon start. If I look back on my previous week, indeed I could say that life is so good to a great degree due to everyday blessings we receive. The grace of our life is the greatest one and somehow it also entails from us a challenge to sustain, maintain, and improve it to the best of our capacity.

Aside from that, we also receive the gift of friendship with other people whom we daily encounter in our home, workplace, surroundings, community etc.. These people allow us to appreciate more life's wonderment. Somehow, there are others whom could never become our close buddies or friends maybe caused by differences in life's views, cultures, beliefs and many more. At times, others might endow us troubles or stresses but we should learn to humble ourselves before them then focus our energy on what is good and positive instead of complaining about it.

Everyday we also receive the gift of good health that allows us to proceed with our day to day endeavours and responsibilities towards our families, communities, workplaces etc. At the same time, we are also asked to take care of it by maintaining positive lifestyle and daily exercises then keeping away from vices especially drugs, alcohol and other negative activities that may result to destruction of life.

Thus, let us also keep our life is a straight path and hopefully it will lead us someday to its fulfilment no matter where and how that could be attained.

Each One's Uniqueness

As I study on Organisational Behaviour, the more that it becomes clearer to me the interrelationship between an organisation and society. Both are made up of group of people whom each one carries with him/her the unique attributes which make him/her stand out among the others.

On organisational behaviour, it mainly rests as well on human behaviour. As we all know, people have various ethnic backgrounds thus bringing along with them their own cultures, practices, taboos, rituals etc.. Each individual therefore has his/her own learning capacity and responsibility.

So vast is the complexity of each individual yet what struck me most out of this given complex element is the uniqueness that each individual carries along side with him/her. How unique one is from the other at times makes it difficult to achieve self satisfaction and in certain circumstances, may lead to one's disowning of oneself.

What then is your behaviour when it comes to your own uniqueness? Are you basically aware of it or not? Just like any organisation, there is no such "one best way" to approach this individual uniqueness but rather, the focus must be shifted to one's humbling ownership of such "giftedness".

Moreover, let us all be constantly aware how we are unique from each other and let us make use of this uniqueness to extend positive things and gestures to others. Thus, we should consistently complement each other until such time that we reach our own wholeness if there is such state in life.

Why Do We Connect With People?

As human as we are, it is but natural for us to seek connections. Indeed, it is such a very basic need that for anybody, no matter who you are and what you are, it is but a very basic need to be connected with others. In this regard, allow me to share with you this video from Youtube on this discussion and we will all together find out some of the interesting reasons why we need though connections.

From our early years, we are already starting to build up connections. From the very significant people in our life like our parents and siblings, we then start to develop our ability to cope with the demands of our environment. Then later on, we start to connect with people outside of our comfort zone like neighbours, friends, relatives etc. Afterwards, we continue to build up our connection with people we meet in school, in our neighbourhood and in other places.

Meanwhile our featured video here will show us some reasons for us to have connections. To enumerate some of them, here they are:

1. to learn (anytime, anywhere)- that's true. Interacting with people enable us to learn new things. And the beauty of this one is that it then becomes a two-way process. We will learn from others and they will also learn from us.

2. to knock down wall---learning from the classroom will allow us to be ready to face squarely the world out there....this world which is so full of surprises.....so full of anonymity.....of being so unpredictable thus it is but fitting for us to get ready to face all these surprises.

3. connect to share resources and ideas- the splendour of life is on its gift of being able to be shared with others thus let us all be reminded that we are also called to be generous donor to each other and this calls for us to extend to others whatever gift that we have. Sharing is connecting lives.

4. to help us all achieve our goals- another wonderful element of being alive---when we are able to help others to reach their potentialities.

5. to get inspired and to create

6. to get in touch  with friends and families

These are but some of those reasons why we choose to connect with others. Can you identify your intuition the first time you meet a new friend? What exactly connect you with that person? Hence let us all open our arms and embrace anybody who comes our way. Let no race, colour, talent, skill etc hinder us to connect with others.
